Modern Toilet Restaurant, Hong Kong, China
At the Modern Toilet diners sit atop acrylic toilets and are served meals and drinks in tiny toilets and urinals. This Chinese themed restaurant serves up curries, pastas, and Mongolian hot pot dishes to hungry patrons. The gimmick has proved a success and the commode themed restaurant has expanded and opened in other parts of China and Asia.
Cabbages and Condoms, Bangkok, Thailand
Cabbages and Condoms take community support to a whole new level. This themed restaurant donates a large portion of their revenues to the Population and Community Development Association, which helps needy families in Thailand generate income and access free vasectomies. The condom happy eatery, pleasantly referred to as C&C is located in a busy business district and serves up amazing food as well as safe sex tips…and condoms, of course.
The Haunted House Restaurant, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
This Midwesetern restaurant has it all, scandalous murder and suicide! In 1963, while in his home a retired car salesman was shot in the back of the head with a .22 caliber rifle. Later that same year the same mans ex-wife died in the home. The murdered mans stepdaughter was tried for the murder and found innocent, but after the stress of the trial she committed suicide following the news of the verdict. The property sat untouched for years when one enterprising soul had the idea to turn Death Manor into a restaurant.
