The Wave bus routes, also called the Emerald Coast Rider, serve the Destin area along U.S. 98 and are a great option. The Wave routes run every 30 minutes. You can go to the Wave website and use the trip planner to help you. Routes are relatively inexpensive and cost about $1.50.
May through October, you can take the island shuttle trolley. There are two trolleys that run every 30 minutes along the length of Santa Rosa Boulevard on Okaloosa Island. The trolley runs 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and has extended hours Fridays and Saturdays.
